Project Report on Cloud Computing
Question: Discuss about the Project Report on Cloud Computing. Answer: Introduction As a Beginning, Here is a Cloud Computing definition to give some idea about it: The term Cloud Computing refers to a computer methodology which allows users to store their data online so that they can access that data in future whenever needed from anywhere with the help of internet (Erl, Puttini Mahmood, 2013 ). To understand the Concept of Cloud Computing, we require understanding various terms that related very close to it. To define Cloud Computing very few scientific terms are there but we can give some general definitions for this. Generally, The Cloud Computing service is the one that allows users to store their important data online instead of storing it in their Computer storage. Cloud Computing incorporates three things: a)Infrastructure Offering(IaaS) b)Platform Support(PaaS) c) Full Application(SaaS) and some technologies which are dependent over the internet for satisfying users computing needs. (Nielsen, 2013) Service Providers There exist lot of Companies that are able to provide Cloud Computing Services. E.g., Google, Microsoft, Sun etc. This service is being used by the millions of users through internet. Following is the list of some Cloud Computing service providers: Service Providers Service Model Deployment Model Aruba Cloud Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Private Public Zetta.IO Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Public Atlantic.net Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Private Public Zenedge Platform as a service(PaaS) Private KeyCloud Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Private Public ZendServer Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Platform as a service(PaaS) Private Public xStream Cloud Management Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Private Public WordXpress Platform as a service(PaaS) Hybrid Private Public Windows Azure Platform as a service(PaaS) Private Webuzo Platform as a service(PaaS) Private Public Webkeepers Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Private Webbynode Platform as a service(PaaS) Public vServer Center Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Private Public VPS.NET Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Private Public Voxoz Platform as a service(PaaS) Public VMware vRealize Suite Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Virtustream Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Private Public Virtual-server.net Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Public V2 Cloud Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Platform as a service(PaaS) Hybrid Private Public Ultimum Cloud Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Hybrid Private Public Tsuru Platform as a service(PaaS) Private Public Tract Cloud Platform as a service(PaaS) Hybrid Private Public DropBox Infrastructure as a service(IaaS) Platform as a service(PaaS) Hybrid Private Public Description:-Atlantic.net Atlantic.net Cloud is one of the best SSD Cloud Hosting Service available in the market. Atlantic.net Cloud provides complete line of SSD Cloud Hosting which results in providing Flexibility and control to the users. This Cloud has around 20 years of experience. It allows you to power your IT infrastructure dedicated sources instead of managing applications on Legacy servers. It has 8 virtual CPUs, a RAM of 16,000MB and Disk space of 200GB. Description:-Bluemix Bluemix is an Open Cloud Architecture implemented by IBM. Bluemix Cloud Allows users to create manage and deploy Cloud applications. It is based on Cloud Foundry. The feature Cloud Foundry of Bluemix allows the users to enter into surroundings of runtime frameworks and services. Bluemix has also some additional features that provide users a dashboard to create, manage and view their applications and services. Users can also monitor their usage of applications resource. It also provides additional features of user access, organizations etc. I prefer Atlantic.net web cloud instead of Bluemix because of the following reasons: Reasons for Choosing Atlantic.net cloud Because of its greater C.P.U cores than the Bluemix Cloud. Because of its greater Ram as Compared to Bluemix Cloud. Comparison Contrast B/w Atlantic.net and Bluemix Cloud Name Of Cloud Atlantic.net IBM Bluemix Cloud Server Models Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS) Platform as a service(PaaS) Deployment Models Hybrid Public Private Hybrid Public Private Virtual C.P.U cores 8vCPUs 1vCPUs RAM 16000 MB 256 MB Control interface Web based application/control panel API(Application programming interface) Command line Graphical user interface Web based application/control panel Command line Features Cloud storage Database as a service Deploy server Disaster recovery DNS Management File storage Firewalls Flexible storage services Horizontal scaling IP/VIP Management Load balancing Auto scaling Cloud storage File storage Flexible storage services Horizontal scaling System monitoring Vertical scaling VPN access Additional features Docker support Multiple domains One click high availability OS servers Linux Windows Windows Native databases My SQL My SQL PostGreSQL Pricing For Linux: $9.93/month for Small server $19.94/month for Medium server $39.95/month for Large Server $79.97/month for Extra Large sever For Windows: $14.97 for small server $29.94 for medium server $59.96 for Large server $119.99 for Extra large server Free for Small server $24.15/month for Medium Server $175.35/month for Large server My Opinion: Now, as we have studied a lot about these Cloud Computing service providers in the above section. I will prefer to go for Altlantic.net Cloud service provider due to the following reasons:. It has more storage space than Bluemix. It has more RAM as compared to Bluemix. It supports both platforms whether it is windows or it is Linux while Bluemix runs only on windows platform. Conclusion: The service of Cloud Computing can be the biggest evolution in the field of Computing. Any new entrant having Cloud facility will earn its fame much fastly and will stand strongly in the competitive world. It improves utilization of resources which results in great profitability also Cloud Computing extends distributed Computing. Instead of having some security concerns, it is still able to be the biggest significant change and the biggest name in the field of computing.(Rhoton, 2009) References Erl, T, Puttini, R.
